GROUND SCHOOL

RWAA offers Ground Training

In accordance with GACAR Part 141, ground school training is an integral part of pilot certification courses.  Rabigh Wings Aviation Academy offers a step-by-step process for becoming a pilot.  After being accepted as RWAA student, the first course you will take is Ground School. Classes are typically held for 4 weeks in the main classroom at RWAA for about 3.0 hours per day, Sunday through Thursday.

The ground training syllabus has been designed to meet this requirement and may be conducted concurrently with flight training or used as a separate ground training course.

RWAA ground training is presented in a classroom environment, lessons will be followed in numerical order as listed in the ground training segment of the syllabus.  However, to provide a degree of flexibility for adapting to individual student needs and the training situation, the syllabus lessons may be altered with the approval of the chief instructor.  Any deviation should not disturb the course continuity or objective.  Each lesson may be presented in one classroom session, or it may be divided into two or more sessions, as necessary.

For the advanced stages of pilot training, RWAA believes in teaching theory and practice at the same time.  Learning aircraft terminology and concepts from the textbook is important, but it’s also important to experience these things first-hand.  This way, you can apply what you’re learning in the classroom inside the airplane.
